Achiral (North American name: Gloom) -- He is one of the twin droids that Esmeraude (North American name: Emerald) calls forth to help her in spreading around dark energy. (Sailormoon R Japanese Episode #81, North American Episode #74)

Ail (North American name: Alan Granger) -- This is a male alien that comes to Earth with his female companion in search of human energy to feed the Makaiju (North American name: Doom Tree). The Makaiju is their source of life energy that they need in order to survive. This character only appears in the anime, not in the manga (comic). Aino Minako

Aito Seigino Sailor Fuku Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon -- The Japanese sentence that Sailormoon speaks every time she makes an entrance. (English Translation: "For love and justice, the sailor suited pretty soldier, Sailor Moon.")

Akuryou Taisan -- The anti-evil attack that Rei uses, both as a priestess and as Sailor Mars. This was taught to her by her Grandfather at the Shinto shrine they operate in Tokyo. The entire sentence she uses to launch the attack is as follows: "Rin pyou tou sha kai jin retsu sai zen. Akuryou taisan!" [If anyone has an English translation for this, kindly E-Mail it to us! Even the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C. could not come up with it.]

Albert Einstein School for the Gifted (Japanese name: Esai Juku) -- This is a school for gifted kids that Amy (Japanese name: Ami) and Melvin (Japanese name: Gurio) both attend. The school is attacked by Emerald (Japanese name: Esmeraude). She opens up a Dark Gate using one of her Dark Crystal Wedges and attempts to fill the area with dark energy. (Sailormoon R North American Episode #73, Japanese Episode #?)

Aluminum Siren -- She is one of Galaxia's Sailor Senshi. She, along with the others in her group, opposed Sailor Moon and the Sailor Senshi in Sailor Stars.

Amade Yuusuke -- A jazz musician who was in love with Yanagi Akiko. This was in Sailormoon Episode #6 of the Japanese anime. This episode was cut from the North American dub that DiC produced.

Amanogawa Wataru -- He is a physics teacher at Juuban High School, that discovered a comet and had it named after him. (Sailor Stars Episode #177)

Amy Anderson

Andrew (Japanese name: Furuhata Motoki) -- He works at the Crown Game Center and is a good friend to Darien (Japanese name: Mamoru). He hopes to one day be a doctor. He has a younger sister named Liz (Japanese name: Furuhata Unazuki) and his girlfriend is Rita Blake (Japanese name: Reika).

Animal Sanctuary -- This is a place for stray animals. Emerald (Japanese name: Esmeraude) attempts to fill the area with dark energy. (Sailormoon R North American Episode #72, Japanese Episode #79)

Anima Mates -- The opposing set of Sailor Senshi, completely controlled by Galaxia. Specifically: Iron Mouse, Aluminum Siren, Lead Crow, and Tin Nyanko.

Anti-Evil Scroll (Japanese name: Ofuda) -- This is a paper scroll/charm used by Raye (Japanese name: Rei) and Sailor Mars. It can be used as a ward around places or to banish evil spirits/creatures. Once it's thrown at an opponent, it will cling to them like a magnet and either disorient them or exorcise them. She was taught how to use the anti-evil scroll by her grandfather. (First Appearance: Sailormoon North American Episode #7, Japanese Episode #10)

Artemis -- The white tomcat that belongs to Sailor Venus and is one of the feline Guardians of the Senshi. He is also the companion of Luna and the father of Diana.

Asahina Nana (North American name: Nancy Vargas) -- A pushy and nosey newspaper reporter. In the North American dub, she works for the "Daily Surprise". (Sailormoon Japanese Episode #43, North American Episode #38)

Asai Tsutomu -- A classmate of Minako's. His heart crystal was removed from him, but was put back because it wasn't "The Talisman" that was being sought after by Professor Tomoe. (Sailormoon S Episode #100)

Avery (Japanese name: Calaveras) -- She is the 2nd oldest of the Four Sisters (Japanese name: ayakashi sisters). (Sailormoon R)

Ayakashi Sisters (North American name: Four Sisters) -- The four uncanny sisters; Cooan, Beruche, Calaveras, and Petz; who work for Rubeus, and eventually turn away from the Black Moon Family. (North American names: Catzie, Bertie, Avery, and Prizma)

Azabu Institute of Technology -- The university that includes among it's students: Mamoru, Motoki, and Reika.

Azabu Juuban Dressmaker -- This is a little dress shop that specializes in wedding dresses. They are very beautiful and very expensive. (Sailormoon North American Episode #13, Japanese Episode #16)
